This is a poem I wrote about my mom and dad. She passed away a few years ago, but their love will live on forever. Maybe one day I will write a story about it...
For Mom & Dad - A Love Poem
He is not, she exclaimed, my type at all
I want a man worthy of the belle of the ball
Tall, dark, and handsome is what I want
Strong, wide shoulders; muscles taunt
Not red hair and freckles; lanky and skinny
I want Prince Charming to ride up and win me
But with a shiny red apple, the seduction had begun
His mischievous grin beguiled, and her hand was won
Resistance dissolved; her heart was succumbing
And she loved the one that she never saw coming.
